with my mom . . .

In Venice!

I have never been so cold. It was all worth it, however, because . . .

I have never seen my mom this happy! We all have dreams and from the time she was young Venice always fell somewhere up at the top of her list.

This day was magical, even if we were covered up in plastic,

we could still spin to our hearts content in St. Mark's Square, the only thing missing were the pigeons:)

Check out St. Marks Basilica, one of the only places in the world that still has massive amounts of tourists, come rain or shine -

- and we
definitely visited in the rain and the wind, YIKES!

We sought comfort
wherever we could - shops, restaurants and even museums. Here we have one of the old gondolas that they no longer use (again, notice the happiness:)

Then . . . maybe the somber disbelief that she was actually standing on
The Rialto.

The bridge was built in 1588, can you believe it?! 1588, AMAZING

Then, just when we thought it couldn't get any better (it was Venice
after all), the sun began to come out -

- and the beauty still takes my breath away.

Seriously, so. much. joy.

Lesson learned - no matter how intense the storm, the sun will rise

and give you a day to never be forgotten.

Goodnight, dear Venice -

We will never forget you:)

because THAT rainy day, you made dreams come true!
